PEG-MGF
Mechanism.
PEG-MGF is a PEGylated (polyethylene glycol-modified) form of mechano growth factor, a splice variant of IGF-1 (insulin-like growth factor 1) that is produced in response to mechanical stress on muscle tissue. PEGylation extends its half-life from minutes to hours. MGF activates muscle satellite cells and promotes muscle repair. PEG-MGF is used in bodybuilding and anti-aging contexts but has no approved medical use and very limited human research.
When you exercise hard enough to cause micro-tears in muscle, your body produces MGF as a repair signal to wake up dormant muscle stem cells. PEG-MGF is a lab-made version of that signal with a protective coating that keeps it active in your bloodstream much longer than the natural version.
